Ronaldo was left off the team for Saturday’s 1-1 draw with Chelsea after he refused to enter the game against Tottenham last week and left the field in the 90th minute.
The 37-year-old acknowledged that “the heat of the moment” got the better of him, but he refrained from offering an apology for his actions.
Cristiano will be playing tomorrow, Ten Hag confirmed. “It’s not challenging. He was out for one game, but I believe we covered everything, and now he’s back with the team as usual.
“You don’t need to [ask more questions] because we won’t be answering any more, so I believe all the questions are covered by what we said, and we need to concentrate on the game tomorrow. We want to win this game because we want to win the group.
“I don’t have to do it anymore; it’s finished; he’s back; concentrate on the game; it’s vital that Cristiano is on the roster tomorrow.”
Prior to the January transfer window, Ronaldo’s readmission into the United team is unlikely to put an end to rumors about his future.
The Portuguese player’s contract at United expires at the end of the current campaign, and if he doesn’t make the first team, he may look for a transfer in the coming months. This season, Ronaldo has only made two Premier League starts.
In 11 league games, United has scored just 16 goals. The fan base is increasingly calling for the club to sign a goalscorer in the upcoming transfer window, but Ten Hag has been mum on any potential plans.
