Militao, who joined Real Madrid from Porto in 2019 for about £45 million, has been a crucial player under Carlo Ancelotti at the Bernabeu over the last two seasons, helping the club win both La Liga and the Champions League in 2021/22.
His departure would thus appear unlikely, especially given his age of 25 – and it most likely is, notwithstanding a report in Nacional.
They believe Militao is ‘among the wishes’ of new Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino, who has carried out a ‘thorough cleaning in the locker room’ with nine players already gone and more due to follow.
Pochettino has’multiple cosmic ambitions’ in mind after that cleaning of the decks, and Militao is one of them.
The Blues ‘have long wished for the arrival of Militao’ and are ‘ready to make a significant expenditure’ to get him in this summer.
