While their final match will be away to Brentford on 28 May.

The Hammers clash has already been selected for broadcast by Sky Sports and will kick-off at 16:30 (BST)

City’s first home game – and potentially Erling Haaland’s Etihad debut – will be against newly-promoted Bournemouth on Saturday 13 August.

The first Manchester derby of 2022/23 will take place at the Etihad on 1 October with the return on 14 January at Old Trafford.

Given the past few years’ rivalry with Liverpool, the two games against Jurgen Klopp’s side will be among the first both sets of supporters look for as another epic Premier League title battle looms once again.

The first meeting between the two clubs that have dominated the title race in recent times will be at Anfield on Saturday 15 October, with the return at the Etihad on 1 April.

Elsewhere on the calendar, Nottingham Forest visit the Etihad on 31 August in a first league meeting between the clubs in 21 years.

Forest have played at the Etihad in the FA Cup back in 2009, beating Mark Hughes’ side 3-0.

Tottenham and Chelsea are likely to challenge for the title next season and their first meeting against either is against Spurs on 10 September at the Etihad.

Chelsea will ensure that 2023 begins with a stern test with a trip to Stamford Bridge pencilled in for 2 January – quite a way to start the New Year.

And of course, with the 2022 World Cup in Qatar sandwiched in-between this season’s fixture list, Manchester City home game against Brentford on 12 November will be the last Premier League match until domestic football resumes some 44 days later with a trip over the Pennines to face Leeds United on Boxing Day.

Tricky combination fixtures include Liverpool and Arsenal away in the space of four days in October.

Other dates of potential interest are the Carabao Cup final on 26 February and the FA Cup final on 3 June.
