Phillips will be Manchester City’s second signing after the English Champions acquired the services of Norwegian striker Erling Haaland early in the transfer window, in a deal that was worth around £60 million.

With this signing, Manchester City will come out with confidence to defend their Premier League title, also hoping to win the UEFA Champions League for the first time. This move will be their desired move, as club captain, Fernandinho, is set to leave the club or retire when his deal expires at the end of the month.
