The former Tottenham Hotspur football club star was given a starting role by his national team coach and he was able to perform excellently in the game.
Christian Eriksen started in his team’s midfield alongside Thomas Delaney and Pierre-Emile Hoejbjerg and the trio were exceptional in the entertaining encounter.
After playing out a goalless draw in the first half of the game, Borna Sosa broke the deadlock for the home team in the 49th minute and Christian Eriksen equalized for the away team in the 77th minute with a stunning goal, before Lovro Majer scored the winning goal for Croatia national team in the 79th minute to end the match 2-1.
Christian Eriksen was impressive for the away team throughout the entire duration of the game, and he was able to mark his excellent performance with a classic goal.
Eriksen was given the Man of the match award after the end of the game, following his brilliant display for his country.
The former Inter Milan football club star will now be looking forward to continuing his impressive performance for the club when they play their next game against France national team on Sunday.
