The 25 years old midfielder has been astonishing so far in the competition and he was able to display yet at the peak despite been played out of position where he paired at the heart of the defence line with a three-man defence line in a 3-4-3 formation.

He was able to use his vast experience as a defensive midfielder to help his team to get the crucial result that keeps them going in the competition which moved them to the second spot on the table with just one point behind leader Ukraine.

Scotland in the game were able to put their last disappointment behind after they suffered a shocking three nil defeat in their last game against Ireland away from home.

They put up a good fighting spirit in the show of the night as they overturned a goal deficit by putting four massive goals back in the five-goal thriller which ended in their favour at full time.

The visitor after taking the lead at the break were more dominating in the second half as they put up some more physical, tactical and technical displays and as such got their lead extended in the 50th minute with a goal from John McGinn to make it three goals to one before Che Adams made it four for the visitor just four minutes after.

Scott McTominay who has been playing instrumental roles for the Scottish national team so far will be looking forward to continuing his brilliant run of form in their next game as they keep their pursuit going in the tournament.
