The 33-year-old Poland International has been able to establish himself as a reckoning force regarding the Bundesliga giant’s attack since he joined them from Borussia Dortmund, with his prolific goalscoring abilities being well known across Europe.
Manchester United want to improve their attack ahead of the next season, having had a bad start in the last season, with only Cristiano Ronaldo being able to perform up to expectations among their attackers.
According to The Sun, Manchester has identified Lewandowski as a potential transfer target and they are ready to pay £400,000-a-week wages to land the signature of the highly-rated Pole international striker come summer.
However, the Red Devil could face competition from Barcelona to sign the striker, who they have seen as a potential replacement for Frenkie De Jong should he leaves for the Old Trafford.
