After the World Cup, the winter transfer window will draw more focus from football fans as many European giants may want to strengthen their squads.
English Premier League giants Manchester United are among those teams that will be in the market for reinforcement in the winter transfer window. The Red Devils will no doubt venture into the market to grab a striker after Cristiano Ronaldo’s contract termination.
Apart from a striker, Erik Ten Hag may look for healthy competition for Diogo Dalot in the right-back role. However, some players are currently linked with a move to Old Trafford as the January transfer window draws closer.
One of those stars is Cody Gakpo, the Netherlands international who was impressed at the World Cup, scoring three goals in the competition.
Another name being linked with a move is Inter Milan right-back Dumfries. The Dutchman is tipped to provide healthy competition for Diogo Dalot in the right-back role. Apart from these two stars, Manchester United may look to add more quality to their midfield.
Although that’s not a priority, for now, they could be tempted to keep their hands in their pocket to snap Declan Rice whose contract with West Ham United is set to expire in the summer.
