After his stunning display for Monaco in Ligue 1 last season, several clubs including Manchester United indicated interest in acquiring his services from Monaco this summer.
But, the dynamic French midfielder has now agreed a six-year deal at Real Madrid with medicals the only thing remaining for him to complete.
Aurelien Tchouameni made 50 appearances in all competitions as Monaco came third in Ligue 1 last season. Erik Ten Hag was hoping to add him to his team as he hopes to kickstart his rebuilding process at Manchester United with new signings.
No doubt, Aurelien Tchouameni would have been a huge addition to the Manchester United squad but, Erik Ten Hag must now look elsewhere in search of a better alternative having lost out to Real Madrid already.
