The attacking areas remain something of an enigma at Chelsea.

Kai Havertz had deputised up front under former boss Thomas Tuchel on occasion.

However, Tuchel was unceremoniously dumped from his position less than a week later.

New boss Graham Potter has chopped and changed up front, with Havertz, Aubameyang and Armando Broja all seeing time at centre-forward.

However, according to multiple reports, Havertz is a wanted man.

Firstly, Bild journalist, Christian Falk, tweeted it’s ‘true’ Bayern Munich asked about a Havertz transfer last window.

Football London go on to speculate they may yet revisit the move given they didn’t sign a direct replacement for Robert Lewandowski.

Secondly, CaughtOffside (citing journalist Simon Phillips), claim Man City are interested in bringing Havertz to the Etihad.

Falk stressed Chelsea’s response to Bayern’s interest was emphatic. “No!” was reportedly the answer.

Furthermore, the CaughtOffside report suggests it’s ‘unlikely’ Chelsea would be anything other that dead against strengthening a direct Premier League rival such as Man City.

Additionally, in the event Havertz were to be sold, Todd Boehly and co. would need to re-enter the market.
