Manchester City defeated Dortmund 2-1 in their Champions League match on Wednesday. A thrilling second half saw the Citizens seal the victory at Etihad.
A late comeback!

Manchester City established their dominance early on but struggled to find their rhythm against Dortmund’s compact defence.

The Citizens registered no shot on target while their opponents spent the first half waiting for counter-attacking chances.

Dortmund looked more dangerous at the beginning of the second period. Following a few missed chances, the Black and Yellows finally opened the scoring through Jude Bellingham in the 56th minute.

Pep Guardiola brought Phil Foden and Bernardo Silva in to reinforce his attacking line, eventually breaking Dortmund’s resistance in the 80th minute.

John Stones scored a fantastic screamer from behind the box to make it 1-1 as City increased the pressure on their opponent’s backline.

Only four minutes later, Erling Haaland converted Joao Cancelo’s cross with an acrobatic finish to complete City’s comeback against his former team.

Dortmund must take on Schalke in the Ruhr derby on Saturday.
