The 22-year-old South American star has been able to establish himself as one of the most sought-after young talents in Europe and has been able to attract interest from a host of top European top clubs, due to his impressive stats for Benfica during the last campaign.

Liverpool has remained keen On signing a replacement for Sadio Mane, who has been confirmed to be leaving the Anfield for Bayern Minich in the summer and the highly-rated Benfica striker has been identified by the Liverpool boss, Jurgen Klopp as a potential transfer target.

According to a report from transfer guru, Fabrizio Romano, Liverpool has reportedly offered Benfica a fee in the region of £68m for the signature of the prolific striker.
