Defenders – The full-back positions are expected to be occupied by the duo of Cancelo and Walker while the duo of Dias and Laporte are expected to occupy the Centre-back positions.
Midfielders – the Midfield trio consist of Bernardo Silva, Rodri and Kevin De Bruyne. All three players were pivotal to City’s success in the premier league last season.
Barring unforeseen circumstances like injury, they’re expected to fill in the midfield positions.
Forwards – As expected, Erling Haaland will lead the attack while the dynamic duo of Foden and Mahrez would flank him on both sides.
• How Liverpool Would Line Up.
Goalkeeper – Alisson Becker.
Defenders – The Centre-back positions are expected to be occupied by the duo of Konate and Virgil Van Dijk. Both players were quite outstanding for Liverpool last season, and they’re expected to lead the central defense next season.
On the other hand, the wing-back positions will be occupied by the duo of Robertson and Trent Alexander-Arnold. Both players were also outstanding last season. As such, they’re expected to form a vital part of Liverpool’s squad next season.
Midfielders – the midfield trio consists of Thiago Alcantara, Henderson and the ever defensive minded Fabinho.
Forwards – with the arrival of Darwin Nunez and Sadio Mane’s looming departure from Liverpool, Darwin Nunez is expected to lead the attack for the Reds next season. As such, he would be flanked by the dynamic duo of Luis Diaz and Mohamed Salah.
With the front three above, Liverpool’s attack will be one of the most dreaded attack in the premier league next season.
With these line ups, I honestly believe that the duo of Manchester City and Liverpool will contest for the Premier League title next season. Barring any unforeseen circumstances like injury, both teams will fight till the end for the premier league title next season.
