1. Excessive Alcohol Intake; this is one of the unhealthy things that can cause swelling or dilation of the liver. When you take excess alcohol it is not only damaging to your cardiovascular health but also damaging to the liver and as such, you raise your risk of enlargement of liver when you abuse alcohol for any reason.
