Liverpool fans has taken out time to point fingers at England centre-back Joel Gomez, as the main reason behind their Champions League defeat against Real Madrid.

A back pass was played to the Brazilian by Joel Gomez and Allison had enough time and space to clear the ball out, but he insisted on building from the back by passing the ball out to a teammate.

Which was eventually intercepted by Vinicius Junior and the ball ended up at the back of the net.

Allison’s blunder gave Real Madrid huge confidence that they could still salvage a win at Anfield and they ended up doing just that.

If it hadn’t been for Allison’s costly mistake inside his penalty area, Liverpool should have emerged victorious at Anfield against Real Madrid.
