The board printed the defender’s name as ‘Rudiguer’.

German outlet Sport1 asked the former Chelsea defender how he felt about it.

“My little cousin drew my attention to it,” Rudiger said of the incident.

“He sent me a photo of my locker and asked: “Toni, what’s going on there?” I forwarded this directly to our team manager – with the note that you’re welcome to omit the ‘U’.

“He then apologized to me 1000 times. But like I said, that wasn’t a problem for me. I had to laugh about it myself,” Rudiger added.

Rudiger is an easy-going character and one of the liveliest in the Real Madrid dressing room despite joining this summer.
