The 18-year-old full-back, who can also play as a winger, has put pen to paper after impressing since arriving in pre-season. He featured for the first team in a pre-season outing against Notts County over the summer, and also played several games for the under-21s.

Hill has now confirmed on his Instagram page that he has signed his first professional contract with the club. “Proud to have signed my first professional contract with @lcfc,” the Bermuda under-20 international wrote on Instagram. “Big thanks to all the parties involved in the process. God’s Plan.”

After initially arriving in pre-season and training with the first team, Hill has stayed with the club and has been training with the under-21s. He played 30 minutes for the seniors in their recent friendly against Patrick Kisnorbo’s Troyes at Seagrave.

City picked Hill up from Market Harborough’s Brooke House College, who run a highly-regarded, full-time football academy programme. Hill was in his third year at the school before being picked up by Leicester over the summer.

Former Leicester boss Micky Adams is technical director for the college’s football programme, and remains close to City thanks to his two-decade professional relationships with director of football Jon Rudkin and other long-standing staff.

Hill’s father Corey, himself a former Bermuda international, works as a recruitment agent for the college and is also a UK scout for the Bermuda FA. Meanwhile, young City defender Tom Wilson-Brown, 18, has also put pen to paper on a professional contract with the club.
