According to media reports, the middle age woman said the lecturers have been making sexual advances in their office, promising her good grades in examination.
The victim’s parents told the media that their daughter knew the suspects as a senior tutors in the institution since she joined that school, but they ironically joined her in general cleaning of the hostels on that particular day.
It was during this cleaning, before the beginning of the evening classes, that the suspects beckoned and asked to see the victim after the evening classes.
Without hesitating, the victim went to see them as earlier agreed, and the suspects told her that he wanted to talk to her privately.
Since they had no time because of busy schedule, she proposed to meet them at around the institution’s hostels.
The alleged lecturers found the lady already standing beside the main entrance to the hostels, where they pulled her inside one of the cubes, and force her to have an act repeatedly without using protection.
Confirming the reports, the University management said several attempts to bring the matter to the attention of the university management, they allege, had not borne fruit, with no action being taken.
“They equally harassing elderly women sexually without fear. We are making this public because this has to end, and we do not want him harassing anyone anymore,” said the university management.
However, Vice Chancellor Professor James White (not the real name) said he has appointed a committee to investigate the matter and directed that the probe should be completed within two weeks.
“I have appointed a committee to investigate your allegations… The chairman of the committee is Dr. Esther Nthiga and the committee has up to 20th December 2021 to conclude the investigations,” Prof. James White said in a letter addressed to the victim.
