1. Rectal bleeding or dark stool due to presence of blood in the stool. This is one of th serious signs of colon cancer that should not be taken for granted.

If you are not suffering from haemorrhoid, yet you keep having a dark stool or blood tinged stool, then it could be time to go for colon cancer tests.

2. Persistent abdominal problems or disturbances such as gas, abdominal cramps etc. Should also not be swept under the carpet as that could also be an indication that you’re suffering from colon or large intestine cancer.

3. Constant changes in the bowel movement or habits from diarrhea to constipation and even inconsistency in the state of your stool. Once you start having these signs or symptoms constantly, do well to see a doctor or go for medical checkup.
