Barcelona started the game on the front foot as it took Raphinha just 21 minute to find the back of the net. Things got even better for Barcelona right before the end of the first half. This time it was Lewandowski that found the back of the net with a sublime volley from close range.

Sevilla’s chances of getting back into the game was totally ruined in the 50th minute as Eric Garcia scored a brilliant goal from just 7 yards out.

It is quite easy to praise Xavi for Barcelona’s win against Sevilla. However, we can’t possibly overlook the individual contribution of some players in the game.

Raphinha and Lewandowski were by far Barcelona’s most dangerous players against Sevilla. Raphinha completed 5/6 of his dribbles, mustered three key passes, created four chances, scored a goal, and recorded 84% pass accuracy during his time on the pitch.

On the other hand, Lewandowski had a very similar performance. The Polish striker had three shots, created two chances, completed 3/5 of his attempted dribbles, and managed to score a goal.
