The game marked Alexander Medina’s debut as Granada’s new boss, and despite a positive start from the visitors, a sublime pass from Toni Kroos set up Brahim Díaz for Real’s opening goal just before the half-hour mark.

Despite their lead, Real Madrid struggled to break down Granada’s defense, with clear-cut chances scarce. Joselu came close to doubling the lead just before halftime, firing narrowly wide.

The second half saw Real Madrid increase their attacking efforts, and in the 57th minute, Rodrygo capitalized on a rebound from Jude Bellingham’s initial shot, netting his seventh goal in five club outings.

Although Real Madrid sought to further widen the gap, Granada’s substitute keeper André Ferreira made impressive saves, denying Federico Valverde from close range. The match ultimately concluded with Real Madrid easing to victory, maintaining their unbeaten league run at home to 12 matches.

Elsewhere, Real Sociedad showcased resilience as they battled back from an early setback to secure a 1-1 draw against CA Osasuna in Pamplona, extending their unbeaten streak to five matches across all competitions.

The match unfolded with Osasuna taking the lead within two minutes, as Ante Budimir’s composed play set up Moi Gómez for a confident strike into the net from six yards.

Real Sociedad responded swiftly, with Umar Sadiq at the forefront of their efforts. Sadiq forced a save from Sergio Herrera, and Ander Barrenetxea’s subsequent shot was deflected just over the bar.

Sadiq’s persistence paid off before halftime when he received a pass in midfield, eluded a challenge, and unleashed a powerful shot from 25 yards, finding the top left corner of Herrera’s goal.

Despite dominating play in the second half, Real Sociedad faced a resilient Osasuna defense. Herrera’s heroics denied Takefusa Kubo’s effort and spectacularly thwarted Mikel Merino’s header on the rebound.

The visitors continued to apply pressure, with late chances for Arsen Zakharyan, Brais Méndez, and Iker Muñoz, but they had to settle for a draw following their midweek stalemate against Red Bull Salzburg.
