1. Your Hair Might Start Falling Out

If you have the experience of your hair falling out- you are not alone. One common thing that happens to women after childbirth is hair loss. Making a human, is a very stressful event, and can cause a Telogen Effluvium. Telogen Effluvium is when a stress related event causes your hair roots to be pushed back into a resting state.

3. Your Breasts Would be Different

After giving birth, there are high chances that you would experience a very heavy period. Truth is, that is not what it really is. It is more than just a heavy period- it happens for the first four to six weeks after giving birth.

What they pass is called “lochia”, a congealed mass of afterbirth blood. It usually has the size of a tomato or grape fruit. If you feel very concerned about the experience, feel free to consult a medical professional and ask more questions.

5. After Giving Birth, the Uterus Would Shrink Back Down to Size

After giving birth, hormonal changes would cause the uterus to contract and shrink back to its normal size. It is important to note that this usually takes from six to eight weeks. For some women, it might take months for the pregnancy pouch to go away in its entirety.

Patience is what you need. If it took 9 months for your abdomen to stretch and accommodate a baby, it is only normal that it would take some time to go back to its normal shape.
