Barcelona got off to strong start as they had more ball possessions in the first few minutes of the game, but they were unable to break Cadiz’s defense.
The first half appeared to be heading for a draw until the 43rd minute, when Roberto converted into an open net. Three minutes later, Lewandowski scored to give Barcelona a 2-0 lead in the first half.
Cadiz came back stronger in the second half, pressing for a comeback, but Barcelona’s defenses were able to thwart all of their attacks. The game ended 2-0, with Barcelona taking all three points home.
Meanwhile, in the other La Liga fixtures that went down today, Elche lost 1-0 at home to Espanyol, Rayo Vallacano Drew 1-1 with Sevilla and Atletico Madrid defeated Athletic Bilbao 2-0.
