Kwankwaso slams the PDP and suggests he may leave the party.

Former governor of Kano State, Senator Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso has criticized his party, Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, saying that most of the party leaders are not progressive-minded politicians.

Mr Kwankwaso, a former Senator representing Kano Central, made the assertion in an hour-long chat at his o station, Nasara Radio 98.5 FM in Kano on Saturday night, monitored by PlatinumPost.

The former presidential aspirant alleged that most of the leaders of both PDP and the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC are not progressive enough to the country from the doldrums.

According to him, the majority of the leaders of both APC and PDP are parochial-minded, adding that the situation had caused a lot of problems in both parties.

He advised that the two most powerful parties should know how to democratically pick a credible candidate from either north or south who would be the favorite of the masses.

He however cautioned the parties against using sentiment to pick candidates, noting that “this is the cause of the w failure among all spheres of the country’s system .”

“Now they are seeing my importance, and they already threw me away. Is just like money in your pocket which you threw away and later you got something to buy but you don’t have the money because you already threw that money away.

“Likewise in the PDP, but the sensible ones among them they are considering me.

“The issue is, the majority of these political parties are not progressive. They are blind to know the truth and do the needful,” he said.

Mt Kwankwaso added that “What these political parties need to do is to be sincere, sit and think deeply about the right candidate that will bring success to the party either from the north or south, that will bring the party to success in the general elections. That is what these parties should have done.

“Pick a sellable candidate because voters are now wise enough to differentiate between the person that will lead well. They are aware of the candidate that will serve them better if elected.
