There was an emotional moment as the father of the student who perished in the accident paid tribute to his daughter.
Father to Oslo Mwendwa got emotional as he disclosed to the gathering that he lost another daughter in 2023 through a road accident along Kiambu Road.
The heartbroken father said Oslo was his only beacon of hope after his other daughter died.
He said the family had yet to accept that their loving daughter, whom they had a lot of hope in, was no longer there.
A survivor student revealed that the bus driver was trying to overtake on the Mombasa-Nairobi Highway when it crashed with a trailer.
Apart from the 11 deaths, injuries of varied degrees were reported from the scene, with 16 casualties being
airlifted to Nairobi specialised treatment.
