The national carrier apologised to customers, promising to resolve the issue as soon as possible. “Kenya Airways would like to apologise for the delays and disruptions it has experienced in recent times.

These have been caused by unscheduled engine overhauls and unforeseen engine supply chain constraints, which resulted in two (2)787 Dreamliner aircraft being grounded,” said KQ. The company said it is working closely with engine lessor manufacturers to find a replacement for the engines.

“We have, therefore, had to downgrade, reschedule, and/or delay some of our flights. We do, however, expect this to be resolved shortly,” said KQ. The airline noted that it would realign its network to reduce delays if the technical issues were not resolved on time.

KQ also urged customers to update their booking contact details (email and phone number) to allow timely flight updates. “We are committed to ensuring a safe and comfortable travel experience for you. We thank you for your patience and for continuing to choose to fly with the Pride of Africa,” the airline added.
