Paytone Mitch Opiyo died alongside a motorcyclist Richard Omondi after a head-on collision involving two motorcycles.

According to Siaya County Police Commander Cleti Kimaiyo, the Air Force officer was riding a motorcycle while carrying his brother Felix Opiyo and were heading towards Bondo from Usenge and on reaching the location of the accident, he collided head-on with an oncoming motorcycle.

He stated that the officer and the other rider both died on the spot. The County police boss told Citizen Digital that Mitch Opiyo’s brother Felix Opiyo and another passenger who was carried by the other rider, Walter Aloo, sustained multiple leg fractures.

Kimaiyo said that officers from Bondo traffic base visited the scene and moved both bodies to Bondo sub-county hospital mortuary to await autopsy.

While confirming the ill-fated incident, the police boss stated that the pillion passengers were rushed to Siaya County referral hospital in a serious condition, adding that the two motorcycles which were extensively damaged were taken to Nyamonye police post to await inspection..<<CONTINUE READING>>
