According to the governor, he chose to assist the parents of the students in clearing the fees following the recent increase in NECO and WAEC.

He, however, assured Ebonyians that his government will continue to ensure that every citizen is happy. Nwifuru stated this when he received the management of the Local Government Staff Pensions Board led by the Executive Secretary, Mr Emeka Nwonu.

“I learned that the amount for NECO and WAEC registration has been increased from 18, 000 Naira to about 34, 000 Naira, and people are finding it difficult to cope with the situation.
