A coalition of leaders of the Zamfara APC state congress has endorsed the candidature of Tukur Umar Danfulani for the chairmanship position of the party.
Danfulani, a former acting state chairman of the PDP, defected to the APC along with Governor Bello Matawalle.
Speaking at a press conference in Gusau, chairman of the coalition, Najeeb Azzamfary, said they unanimously endorsed Danfulani’s candidature.
“We all agreed on Danfulani to be our new state APC chairman in the upcoming Saturday state congress,” he said.
He described Danfulani as a true democrat who if elected would promote democratic principles among party followers.
3 Oyo teachers suspended over sexual harassment
The Oyo State Government has suspended three teachers of the Oyo State Basic School, Ogbomoso, over alleged sexual harassment.
Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Rahman Abdu-Raheem revealed this Friday in Ibadan in a statement.
He did not identify the teachers.
Mrs Adebiyi Racheal, the Headteacher, Oyo State Basic School, Ogbomoso, and Mrs. Akanbi Oluwaseun, the Principal, Oyo State Training School for the Blind, have also been transferred.
Abdu-Raheem revealed that the suspension and transfer were Oyo State Government’s response to a recent viral video of unrest in the school.

FG’s policies causing clashes between customs, Ogun residents-Gov Abiodun
Governor Dapo Abiodun has blamed the recurrent crises between officers of the Nigerian Customs Service (NCS) and residents of Ogun border communities on some recent policies of the Federal Government of Nigeria.
Ogun, one of the states with many approved and unapproved borders, has always been in the news over clashes between customs officers and suspected smugglers.
In the course of enforcing government policies, lives of both residents and customs officers have been lost in Ogun more than anywhere else, DAILY POST can report.
Recently, two NCS operatives were killed in cold blood at a village in Yewa North, barely a few weeks after two suspected smugglers fell during a clash with the law enforcement agents.
