Speak of an irony writing itself, with the Red Devils facing a Hammers side that suffered a 5-1 defeat to Liverpool in mid-week.

Manchester United started the game very much in fine form in the first half, registering most shots on target (3) and possession to put West Ham United under severe pressure and panic of facing certain defeat for the consecutive time running.
