According to her, her elder sister got into an accident and died en route to work, leaving behind two boys aged 3 years and 8 months.
She says that at that time she was not married, and she kept visiting them. Their father, who was a doctor, would often travel abroad for job purposes, leaving the kids in the care of house girls most of the time.
Faith says that initially, the younger boy missed his nine-month polio vaccine because the dad was not at home, and the house girl didn’t take the child to the hospital. The second incident was when the elder child was burned by hot porridge on the leg, and the house girl didn’t inform anyone. When Faith checked on them, she found the boy badly burned, and he had to undergo surgery.
She says that after that incident, the husband of her late sister proposed for her to marry him so they could take care of the kids together. Initially, she refused, but after seeing how much the kids were suffering, she accepted. They followed the proper procedure, and she got married to him.
After five years, the husband fell sick and was diagnosed with stage four cancer. A few months later, he passed away, leaving her to care for the kids alone.
