Their lives were going to change drastically in ways they never could have imagined. Nia was overjoyed to learn that she was expecting her third child. She and her husband Robert already had twin boys Riley and Alexander, who was two, and Shai, who was six.
With her third pregnancy, Nia experienced different emotions. She felt more intense and gained weight more quickly, but she simply attributed these differences to her body knowing what to do this time.
She didn’t find out she was pregnant with twins until she went in for her ultrasound and was asked about her family’s history of multiple births. The doctor then decided to perform one more scan before telling her some information she needed to leave her husband a note about and take a trip for.
Robert fainted as soon as he viewed the scan, so Nia was correct to be wary. Nia remembered the nurse’s announcement that she was expecting triplets. Actually, there are three babies, she said, according to Tolbert. According to Today.com, she stated, “And I said, ‘Can you make sure there’s not four?’”
It’s unusual to become pregnant naturally with triplets, especially when the mother has already given birth to twins. Nia would learn that she hyperovulates, which means that during ovulation, her body releases more than one egg at a time.
The delighted mother decided to leave her husband a message before leaving on a pre-arranged trip to visit a friend because she was concerned that if she told her husband, he might not come home. Nia wrote a note to her husband that read, “Please accept this gift from me and God.
“I opened the bag and saw a very, very long sonogram,” Robert remarked. Then I discovered three onesies inside the bag. they had the following numbers: 1, 2, and 3. Robert said, “I passed out. Whoa, this is real life, I thought after a few double blinks.
The couple learned that they were carrying three girls at a gender reveal party! Since then, they have overcome their first shock and are preparing to welcome their daughters into the world.
