Emphasizing the absence of concrete evidence supporting such claims, he argued that the country’s security issues are predominantly domestically generated. He underscored the global interconnection of nations and the economic interests of these countries in Nigeria, he therefore disagreed with the notion of foreign influence on the security challenge.

He said in an interview with Arise TV, ”I’m a man of evidence. When Boko Haram started in 2009, we heard that soldiers from France and Cameroon came with helicopters and drop weapons for them [Boko Haram].

But to the best of my knowledge, we do not have even a picture of any of this thing actually happening. So I think we need to embrace the fact that the problems that we are having all over the country, they are homemade problems.

For me as an analyst, I have not seen any proof of foreign involvement. And the world is a global village and all the countries that are being mentioned, these are countries that have economic stakes in this country.

So I do not subscribe to this issue of foreign intervention. And even if we accept that, it should even make us worried. Because if we have airforce, we have artillery, we have intelligence, we have DSS and you are telling me a helicopter came and landed in one village and dropped whatever it is carrying and then left.
