Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has stirred controversy and sparked reactions from webizens after photos circulated showing him bowing to Ohanaeze leader Iwuanyanwu during a recent visit to Owerri.
The visit took place on the 5th of this month, where discussions on “issues of mutual interest” occurred between Obasanjo and Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu, the President General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide.
The Secretary-General of Ohanaeze, Ambassador Okey Emuchay, highlighted the symbolic and crucial nature of the meeting, with expectations that the outcome would benefit the Igbo community.
Emuchay also commended Obasanjo’s past contributions to the Igbo nation, including his appointments of Igbo individuals to key positions during his presidency.
