This common STI tends to target warm, moist areas of the body, which includes the urethra, or the tube that drains urine (pee) from the bladder, eyes, throat, vagina, anus and female reproductive tract such as the fallopian tubes, cervix, and uterus.
Be aware that untreated gonorrhoea can lead to long-term health problems and, in some cases, it may lead to infertility as well.
However, treatment with antibiotics can cure the infection and also help lower your chances of experiencing health complications.
Furthermore, according to Healthline, here below are the signs and symptoms of gonorrhoea in men and women;
Symptoms For Men
When contracted, you may develop noticeable symptoms within 2 to 30 days after exposure.
In some cases, it may take several weeks for symptoms to appear, and on the other hand, you might not experience any symptoms at all.

Other possible symptoms include:
1. Experiencing greater regularity or haste of urination

3. Experiencing or having discolouration and swelling at the pen-is opening
4. Having a testicular swelling or pain
5. Having itching and soreness in your anus
6. Experiencing rectal bleeding or discharge
7. Experiencing pain when having bowel movements
