Although it doesn’t usually cause many symptoms, there are certain signs of fat in the liver that should make us turn on the warning sign.

Some signs of fatty liver, according to the Cleveland Clinic:

1. jaundice

This is a yellowing of the skin and the whites of the eyes, the result of a malfunction in the liver, related to the production of bilirubin. To wit, bilirubin is a greenish-yellow pigment that is released during the process of destroying old red blood cells.

The organ responsible for metabolizing substances in the body is the liver. Therefore, that is where the bilirubin goes. Jaundice occurs when there is an overproduction of bilirubin or when there is a deficiency in its elimination.
