Chelsea fans have gone gun blazing all over the social media as they attack the players, the coach and the club’s lack of transfer activities. Even Thomas Tuchel is growing frustrated in the club’s effect in the transfer market as he categorically stated that the blues needs quality players.
During post-match conference immediately after the embarrassing 4-0 defeat to Arsenal, Thomas Tuchel stated that Chelsea needs quality players urgently.
Thomas Tuchel on summer transfer business:
“We had an urgent appeal for quality players and a huge amount of quality players. We got two quality players no doubt but we’re not competitive like this and you could see that today.”
Without any doubt Chelsea needs to sign quality if they must competes with the likes of Manchester City, Manchester United, Liverpool, Tottenham and Arsenal next season.
Manchester United have signed Tyrell Malacia, Christian Eriksen and Lisandro Martinez, City on the other hand has signed Alvarez, Haaland and Kalvin Philips. LIverpool also signed Cavalho and Nunez Darwin while Arsenal got Gabriel Jesus, Fabio Vieira and Oleksandr Zinchenko.
Looking at Chelsea’s rivals signings, you will see that the blues are far behind in contention. Although Chelsea gave signed Raheem Sterling and Kalidou Koulibaly but these three (3) players must be signed if Chelsea wants to compete next season.
1. Jules Kounde:
Chelsea are interested in Jules Kounde and the club is making everything possible to sign the Frenchman. Chelsea should speed up the transfer process to sign Jules Kounde before the start of the season next month.
2. Frenkie de Jong:
With Conor Gallagher unable to impress in the Pre-season, Chelsea needs an attacking midfielder to create chances for the team. Frenkie de Jong can play as a Central midfielder and he has the ability to solve Chelsea’s creativity if he joins the Blues.
3. Rafael Leao:
After signing Raheem Sterling, Chelsea needs to upgrade their right-wing position to add more quality to the team. Having missed on the signing of Raphinha, Chelsea should Channel their attention towards Ac Milan talented winger, Rafa Leao.
4. Cristiano Ronaldo:
Chelsea are in dire need of a real Striker and Kai Havertz unfortunately is not the one. Kai Havertz doesn’t have what it takes to lead Chelsea attack and if the blues Wants to compete with Man City and Liverpool they must a prolific striker like Cristiano Ronaldo who has already made himself available this summer.
Conclusion:
The Premier League kicked off August 5 and Chelsea has less than two weeks to get all their transfer targets.
