They tried to sign highly rated up and coming Russian talent Arsen Zakharyan from Dynamo Moscow. But due to complications with him being allowed to make the move, that one didn’t happen. However, it is expected to be re-visited in the winter transfer window this January.
Zakharyan has been praised by fellow countryman and former Arsenal player Andrey Arshavin, who says he was not upset that Zakharyan didn’t join Chelsea this summer, but in the same sentence also says that ‘he must join Chelsea.’ Arshavin believes Zakharyan will soon become a Chelsea start.
