Although no single food will prevent the disease, a few stand out for their cancer-combating properties. Whether you’re looking to cut down your risk, slow the growth of already existing cancer cells, or make them respond better to treatment (if undergoing one), these superfoods will sure help.

Tomatoes

Now you have a reason to include a serving or two of tomatoes in your diet each day by adding them to sandwiches, salads, sauces or pasta dishes.

Tomatoes are loaded with a powerful antioxidant called lycopen an anti-cancer property that is also responsible for its the redness. In laboratory tests, lycopene has been successfully used to stop cancer cells from growing.
