1. Processed Meats

According to webmd, Processed meats may make for a delicious snack, but they can be detrimental to the health of spèrm. This includes products such as sausages, bacon, and salami. These foods are loaded with sodium and saturated fat, which can damage spèrm. Men should avoid eating such products in excess or as part of their daily diets.

2. Trans Fats

Trans fats or “partially hydrogenated oils” are a type of fat found in processed foods. They occur when vegetable oils are heated and chemically altered to extend shelf life. Trans fats are known to increase cholesterol levels, blocking spèrm production.

Additionally, they make the sèmen viscous, instead of its natural liquid form, which makes it difficult to transport the spèrm into the egg. Avoiding processed foods, such as doughnuts, fried chips, and fast food, is your best bet.

3. Alcohol

Alcohol should be enjoyed in moderation if at all. An occasional glass of beer or wine shouldn’t be a problem, but regular and binge drinking can bring several problems with fertility.

Heavy drinking affects testosterone levels and stunts the growth of spèrm cells. Additionally, excessive alcohol consumption can lead to dehydration, which will impact spèrm production. Keeping alcohol intake to a minimum and staying hydrated can help maintain healthy spèrm levels.

4. Soy Products and Soy Milk

Although soybeans and soy products are generally considered to have a number of health benefits, they can harm your spèrm quality over time. Soy contains polyunsaturated fats, which can cause issues with spèrm production.

Also, soy products contain isoflavones, which act like female hormones and can impair spèrm production and reduce testosterone levels.

5. Coffee and Tea

Coffee and tea can be detrimental to male fertility. Studies have found that drinking four or more cups of coffee or tea every day can reduce sperm motility by 59%. Tea and coffee contain caffeine, which reduces the concentrations of spèrm and testosterone.

6. Refined Sugar

Refined sugar is a double-edged sword. Too much sugar in the diet can increase insulin levels, which can affect the amount of testosterone the body produces.

Added sugar also decreases the efficiency of antioxidants in the body, which are essential for the protection and production of spèrm. Men should limit their intake of processed and refined sugars to maintain healthy spèrm quality.

7. Fruits and Vegetables

Although fresh fruits and vegetables are rich in antioxidants and essential vitamins, consuming certain types of raw fruits and vegetables can reduce spèrm count.

Asparagus, spinach, and broccoli contain compounds that can affect the production of spèrm. Additionally, cruciferous vegetables, such as cauliflower and cabbage, are known to reduce sperm output.

8. Processed Foods

Processed convenience foods, such as chips, crackers, and convenience dinners, are not the best option for a healthy diet. Processed foods lack essential vitamins, which are key to maintaining healthy spèrm. Additionally, processed and packaged foods are often high in sodium, which can inhibit spèrm production and reduce spèrm count.

9. Seafood

Seafood is an excellent source of omega-3 fatty acids. However, it is wise to limit your intake of certain types of seafood. Fish, including swordfish, shark, and mackerel, contain heavy metals, which can damage spèrm count and motility.

Oysters, clams, and mussels contain cadmium, which is another metal that can inhibit spèrm production. Fish with low levels of mercury, such as salmon and tuna, are safer options.

Reducing the intake of the listed foods can help maintain a healthy sperm count. Additionally, men can take steps to ensure healthy spèrm production, such as exercising regularly, managing stress, and getting plenty of sleep.

Eating a balanced diet consisting of healthy sources of carbohydrates, proteins, fats, and vitamins is also important. In cases of severe infertility, consult a doctor and consider medical treatments...READFULL
