Five Signs That Someone Is Dying And How To Help Them

1. Pain: Pain signs such as grimacing, groaning, scowling and wincing are among the signs someone can experience when they are near to death, the intensity of pain will likely increase as a person becomes nearer to death. Most of this pain can be managed if the person is admitted in the hospital or nursing care by the health professionals.

2. Increasing confusion: Some people brain normally remains very active during the dying phase. However, some people normally have moments of confusion. Some people may become restless and aggressive if they don’t know where they are or what’s happening, but calming them down and speaking to them calmly and quietly.

3. Breathing troubles: Trouble breathing such as breathing fluctuations, sudden gasps for air or labored breathing are among the alarming signs of from someone who is dying. Labored breathing may seem painful or problematic, talk to your love one doctor for some pain medications that can make breathing easier.

4. Sleeping more: According to Healthline, several months before the end of life, a dying person may begin to sleep more than usual. As you get closer to death, your body’s metabolism falls. Without a steady natural supply of energy, fatigue and tiredness easily win out. You can encourage your loved one to get out of bed so that they don’t develop body sores.

5. Change of vital signs: Vital signs such as blood pressure usually drops near death. Changes in breathing become more obvious, and heartbeats become irregular and difficult to detect. As blood pressure drops, the kidneys will also stop working too.
