Liverpool spent a whooping £85 million to sign Darwin Nunez from Portuguese club Benfica, making him the most expensive player in the club’s history.

He started his Liverpool career brilliantly, scoring on his Premier League debut against Fulham.

2. Newcastle United – Alexander Isak (£59 million)

Newcastle United broke their transfer record by signing Alexander Isak for £59 million from Spanish outfit Real Sociedad.

He also started his Newcastle career brilliantly scoring on his debut against Liverpool. We will be hoping to see more of him this season.

3. West Ham United – Lucas Paqueta (£51 million)

West Ham spent transfer fee of £51 million to sign Lucas Paqueta from Ligue 1 club Lyon, making him their most expensive player in the club’s history.

4. Wolverhampton Wanderers – Matheus Nunes (£38 million)

Wolverhampton Wanderers also broken their transfer record this summer by signing Matheus Nunes for £38 million from Sporting CP.

5. Nottingham Forest – Morgan Gibbs-White (£25 million)

Nottingham Forest had an excellent transfer window this summer under manager Steve Cooper. They signed 21 players this summer transfer window.

They broke their transfer record when they signed Morgan Gibbs-White for £25 million from Wolverhampton Wanderers.
