5. Toni Kroos (Germany) – 4 assists

Midfielder Kroos has appeared in three World Cups. Kroos spent much of the 2010 WC on the bench and was eliminated by Spain. Kroos dominated the 2014 World Cup.

4. Juan Cuadrado (Colombia) (5 assists

The Colombian did well at the 2014 World Cup, as did many others. In two group stage matches and one Round of 16 encounters, he had three assists. They were defeated by Brazil in the quarterfinals

3. James Rodriguez – Colombia (5 assists)

Along with Juan Cuadrado, another Colombian. Real Madrid and Bayern Munich signed Rodriguez. He was the tournament’s top player at the 2014 World Cup.

Rodriguez’s volley against Uruguay is among his best goals. His final goal came in a 2-1 loss to Brazil that sent them home. Rodriguez earned 2014’s Golden Boot. with 6 goals in 5 games. In three World Cups, the Colombian midfielder has five assists.

2. Lionel Messi (Argentina) – 6 assists

Messi’s inclusion isn’t surprising. Messi earned IFFHS Playmaker of the Decade. Messi is a playmaker and goalscorer. Argentinian has the most assists in football history. Messi has 6 assists in 4 World Cups.

1. Pele – Brazil (10 assists)

Many consider Pele the best. His stats are incredible. The Brazilian legend is only surpassed by Messi and Ronaldo. Pele has the most World Cup assists (10). He set several unbreakable records.

Three World Cups, three assists. He scored seven goals and had seven assists at the 1970 World Cup. In 1958 and 1970, Brazil won the World Cup with his three assists.
