A win for Tottenham will take them above Arsenal and into the top 4 but a loss for them will see them lose ground on the race for a top 4 finish.
On the other hand, Burnley that is currently battling with relegation knew that the match is a must win for them if they want to survive the relegation battle.
Son should have scored in the 12th minute but was unlucky.
Kane had two opportunities to score in the 13th and 17th minute but his headers could not beat the goal keeper.
Cornet also had a great chance to score in the 27th minute but his attempt was thwarted by the goalkeeper.
Tottenham was then awarded a penalty in the 45th which after VAR review, Harry Kane stepped up and scored from the spot in the 45th+8 minute, 1 – 0 and that was the first half final score.
Burnley tried all they could to equalize but Tottenham held on until the end of the match the match ended 1 – 0 on favour of Tottenham.
