Chelsea are yet to release their new away kit for the 2023/24 season.

Final images have emerged of the Chelsea away kit for the 2023/24 season. In the same week that the home top was finally released, the away one is set to be close behind.

The Blues ended weeks of waiting when they revealed the 1990s inspired home jersey on Monday. Compromising of standard blue across most of the kit with little added detail, the white underarms and collar area are an ode to the 1998 Chelsea side including Roberto Di Matteo, Dennis Wise and Gianluca Vialli.

The kit shown to fans is also yet to go on sale, with purchases available from August 16 – after the pre-season tour of America and opening game of the Premier League at home to Liverpool.

In the mean time, the club hope to find an agreement for a primary sponsor that will fill the void left by Three when the partnership ended on June 30.

The Blues are now the only side to have released a kit in the top division without a sponsor this season as they try to make up for lost time having received widespread backlash over the talks with casino and gambling company Stake, when it was revealed last month.

It comes after new leaks of the top in physical form emerged online. With Twitter user @feroze17 posting an image of the black kit hung up in a store.

The design is far from the ’90s layout of the home kit and features shockwave-style thin blue lines across the entirety of the chest. Creating a lightshow effect, the kit follows on from funkier designs used in the 2021/22 range.

The diamond and chequered shapes are entirely unique to this top and not like anything seen before in Chelsea kits, but perhaps more importantly looks to be continuing the trend of having a shiny badge.

Fans have vented their frustration at the iridescent golden club badge and Nike logo. In a move away from the embroidered emblems and crests, the modern looking style has not gone down well with many and could be a deal breaker with the away shirt too despite its jazzy futuristic pattern…READFULL
