FCST 0-2 MUFC: Cristiano Ronaldo’s Display Shows Why Rashford Is The Best To Lead MAN UTD’s Attack.....READ THE FULL ARTICLE>>>

Manchester United defeated FC Sheriff Tiraspol 2-0 in their match day 2 Europa League fixture. One of the players whose performance was not impressive was Cristiano Ronaldo.

The Portuguese captain played for 81 minutes of the game but his input was below average. The only great thing about his game tonight was scoring that 39th minute penalty and performing his trademark celebration. He had no contribution to the penalty kick. Diogo Dalot was the player that was brought down in the 18 yard box.

In the entire first half of the game, Ronaldo played not even a shot aside the penalty kick. In the second half, he only had 1 shot in the 69th minute which went wide.

All this poor performance was because of his inability to join in the build up play. Instead, he sits around the last player waiting for a clear cut chance to score but for Marcus Rashford. He always gets involved in the build up play and most times, create chances for his teammates.

Cristiano Ronaldo might be a very prolific goal scorer but his game tonight shows that Erik Ten Hag’s style of play does not suit him rather, Marcos Rashford.
