The final between Chelsea and Liverpool is expected to be a very interesting one, as Liverpool would be hoping to win both cup trophies this season, while Chelsea would be hoping to avoid losing their third consecutive FA Cup final, and also lose two domestic cup finals in same season.
This is the fourth time that both teams would meet across all competitions this season, with the previous three meetings ending in a draw, but Liverpool went on to win the Carabao Cup via penalty shootouts.
The Jurgen Klopp’s men would definitely be going into this game as the favorite to win the trophy, considering their good form and Chelsea inconsistent performances in their last couple of games, but this fixture is a final match, and a big game between two clubs that would be hoping to win the title, which means either sides are capable of winning this game.
In this article, we will be analysing the FA Cup final between Chelsea and Liverpool, and also state the possible outcome that could come out from the game.
Chelsea Vs Liverpool
Chelsea has been in a bad run of form lately this season, which has seen them lose to Arsenal, Everton, drew against Manchester United, and Wolves, with their bad form arising from injuries to their midfied players.
Chelsea are also likely to have some major absentee’s in the final against Liverpool, as Ngolo Kante seems to be out of the game with injuries, while Mateo Kovacic also got an injury in Chelsea’s last game against Leeds United, and is a doubt for the fixture.
Meanwhile, Liverpool are in a great form, and are currently looking undefeatable at the moment, as they have only lost one game since December.
With the Premier League title gradually slipping away from their grasp, the FA Cup title would definitely be a priority for them to win.
Jurgen Klopp would be having almost a totally fit squad, as Fabinho and Roberto Firmino are the only major doubt for the game.
Based on form, the game would be Liverpool’s to lose, as they they stand a better chance of defeating Chelsea and winning the FA Cup title.
Although, with Thomas Tuchel in charge, he side can’t be totally written off for a surprising results in the game.
