The 28 year old Belgian international was handed a role to play in his team’s starting XI line-up having been a key figure in the squad since his summer arrival and he was able to deliver at the peak.
Michy Batshuayi was phenomenal at the heart of the forward line where he used his vast experience coupled with his physical, tactical and technical skills which made him a complete threat in the opposition box and as a result played key role in the four-goal thriller.
The first half of the game was such a balanced one between the two sides as there was nothing separating them going into the half time break which ended goalless draw.
The host in the second half of the game got a double lead courtesy of goals from Martin Terrier and Lovro Majer in the 52nd and 54th minute respectively to make it two goals to nil before the visitor got the deficit reduced, as they put one back in the 60th minute with a goal from Irfan Can Kahveci to make it two goals to one.
In the late minute to the end of the game, the visitor were able to net a dramatic equalizer as they got levelled with a goal from Enner Valencia which ended the game two all draw at full time thereby making it no victor no vanquished.
Michy Batshuayi with his top notch and great influx of delivery in the game will be hoping to keep the tempo and momentum going for his team in their next game as they continue their pursuit in the competition with the optimism to get back to winning ways.
