However, mouthwatering action took place in the La Liga, Serie A, German Bundesliga and Ligue 1 and we saw some of the top favourites for the European Golden Boot add to their tally.

He came off the bench and scored his sixth league goal of the season as Barca saw off Cadiz 4-1.

Despite not playing over the weekend, Manchester City’s Erling Haaland still leads the race for the golden boot. He has 10 goals and is followed by Neymar who has 8 goals, Mbappe with 7 goals, and Lewandowski with 6.
