Omondi in a brief video disclosed that the former health reporter had already been evacuated from the streets and received the necessary help.
The comedian who spoke during a visit to Nasibo’s mother’s home in Jamhuri, Nairobi, revealed that Nasibo had been flown to a health facility in Nairobi and booked to undergo rehabilitation.
While issuing an update on the matter, Omondi dismissed claims that the former journalist was homeless and called on Kenyans to exercise sensitivity towards the matter.
“As I am speaking to you, Nasibo is safe and has been flown to a rehabilitation centre with the help of the brother,” Eric Omondi detailed.
“She is fine and will be fine but we needed to know what happened because when I saw the video, there were varying stories about her situation.”
The comedian further stated that he had been briefed on the journalist’s situation by the mother and called on Kenyans to pray for the former media practitioner.
Similar sentiments were echoed by the victim’s mother who affirmed Nasibo’s safety.
“She has already been checked in at the rehab and it is just a video that trended but she is okay. She is not homeless, she had a home,” clarified Nasibo’s mother.
Omondi’s latest move comes a day after a time-lapse video of the former Nation Media Group languishing in the streets went viral.
The video depicted Nasibo r aggedly dressed with unkempt hair and holding a knife which she claimed she used in mitigating any potential threats and hazards.
“Here you must sleep with a knife beside you because anyone can come at night and attack you,” Nasibo told the interviewer.
While narrating her situation, Nasibo disclosed that she was diagnosed with depression while working as a health reporter at NMG and at one point she contemplated quitting her job and even taking her life.
“It happened that the company dismissed people from the office but fortunately I was among the five that were retained but the job became challenging after I began witnessing people dying. It disturbed me,” Nasibo narrated….CLICK HERE FOR MORE ARTICLE>>>
